These terms are the agreement between you and Progressive Overload. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Progressive Overload ("the app", "we", "us") is an independent mobile application operated by Thaïs Fontes in Québec, Canada. Contact: support@progressive-overload.ca.
You need an account to use the app. You must be at least 18 years old. Progressive Overload is not intended for minors and we do not knowingly allow them to register. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information, and keep it current.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Progressive Overload is a tracking tool, not a coach, a trainer or a doctor. It records what you tell it and does arithmetic on it. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Weight training carries a genuine risk of injury. Consult a qualified physician before starting or changing an exercise programme, particularly if you have an existing condition or injury. Exercise illustrations and animations in the app are simplified references, not instruction in correct technique.
You train at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your own safety and for the weights you choose to lift.
The app is free to use. PO Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks unlimited training history, advanced analytics, coaching, friends, challenges and data export.
| Plan | Price | Renews |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | US$1.99 | Every month, automatically |
| Annual | US$19.99 | Every year, automatically |
| Lifetime | US$120.00 | One-time payment, never renews |
Prices are shown in US dollars and may be converted, and taxed, according to your country. The price you actually pay is always the one Google Play shows you at checkout.
Every account has a share code. If someone enters your code when they subscribe to PO Pro, you receive one free month of PO Pro.
You own what you write — challenge titles, descriptions, rewards, your display name and your workout notes. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and show it to the people you have shared it with.
You must not create, share or send content that is:
We remove violating content and suspend or terminate the accounts responsible, without notice. To report something, email support@progressive-overload.ca — we review reports within 24 hours. You can also remove any friend at any time from the Friends tab, which immediately ends their access to your data and their ability to contact you.
Approving a coach lets that person see your logged workouts, edit your training program and log sets on your behalf. Only approve people you trust. You can remove a coach at any time, which ends their access immediately. Your data always remains yours: removing a coach never removes your history. We are not responsible for the training advice any coach gives you.
You agree not to:
The app, its design, its exercise catalogue and all of its illustrations and animations belong to us and are protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them inside the app. That licence ends when your account does.
We work to keep the app running, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue the app entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will meet your requirements or that your data will never be lost — keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for injury arising from your exercise choices. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, particularly section 6. If we terminate your account without cause while you hold an active subscription, we will arrange a pro-rata refund through Google Play.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, and the courts of Québec have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protections of your own local law.
